James Whitby

Consultant Ecologist

James joined Å·²©ÌåÓýƽ̨ Ecology Co-op in April 2021. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Zoology from Å·²©ÌåÓýƽ̨ University of Plymouth in 2016. Before joining Å·²©ÌåÓýƽ̨ company, James had completed various work experience placements, but had spent Å·²©ÌåÓýƽ̨ previous 4 years working in construction and spending his time traveling.

James is a qualifying member of Å·²©ÌåÓýƽ̨ Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and has experience in a wide range of ecological surveys and technical report writing. James has since completed his MSc in Land and Ecological Restoration through Å·²©ÌåÓýƽ̨ apprenticeship scheme with Eden project Learning. James also holds a Level 1 Class Licence for Great Crested Newts, a Level 2 Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue certificate and has completed various training courses in botany. 

Outside of work, James enjoys wildlife photography, rugby, scuba diving and traveling.
